But I think I have a better idea...make the media give free time to politicians for adds as a public service. Now it is a profit stream for them...which explains why we finish one election and start the next the same week.

It's true.
We have watched our democracy go away right before our eyes.
We have also watched the media turn into something very ugly and not representative of the people in the least.
If we had democracy TPTB could not continue with perpetual war. If we had democracy we would not be subsidizing the oil industry. If we had a democracy we wouldn't continue to support this poor excuse for a health care system.
