A new poll shows that Donald Trump has gathered around himself an increasing number of the most deluded, least informed voters that America has to offer. Cenk Uygur and John Iadarola (Think Tank), hosts of the The Young Turks, break it down. Tell us what you think in the comment section below.

"Well into his second term as president, over half of Republicans remain convinced that president Barack Obama is a Muslim, according to a poll released Tuesday by Democratic firm Public Policy Polling.

The poll finds that 54 percent of Republicans think Obama is a Muslim, 14 percent think he's a Christian and 32 percent say they are unsure.

Obama's country of birth also remains a question for Republicans. A plurality, 44 percent, say they don't think he was born in the U.S. Only a third believe that he is American-born, and slightly less than another third are unsure where he was born.”*

4. There needs to be more pushback

on the negative connotation of being Muslim. True, some of the more fundamental beliefs are God (Allah?)- awful, but moderate Muslims exist, just as there are moderate Christians. Allowing the tacit insult of being called a Muslim to stand without appropriate response allows the bigotry to fester.
