Shooting star seen on 7-Sep-2015

These two dashcam videos have emerged on social media showing a huge fireball shooting through the sky in central Thailand shortly before 9am Monday morning. The footage above taken in Bangkok shows the fireball blazing through the sky around the 30-second mark.

There was no confirmation on what caused the fireball at time of writing. Theories circulating online, however, included an exploding helicopter or other aircraft; a meteor; or a satellite re-entry.

The fireball can also be seen in the short dashcam video below.

A stony one blew up over Siberia, back in 1908, with nuclear-size devastation.

Just a couple years ago another one blew up over Siberia causing damage and injuries.

Otherwise it was just the last gasp of a rock the size of a skipping stone that found itself in the same place as a planet.

What's up with the traffic in that first video? 20 seconds in to it you see on the right a center concrete barrier to separate traffic, then there is a lane of traffic on this side of the barrier going the opposite direction. Never seen that before. What's the point of the barrier if traffic flows like that.

Earlier in the video you can see it's two roads. The barrier is there just before the merge is complete.
