Don't think the Feds are going to put up with this this time. If they don't allow the law to be followed we could be seeing a lot of dead Oath Keepers and perhaps the beginning of more domestic terrorism. Kim Davis might end up dead just by being in the middle of this insanity.

3. No federal agents died, nor did any of the very foolish followers who

were lead into what could have been a slaughter by some very bad leaders.

Although not an ideal outcome, IMO it was far better than our federal officers shooting down dozens of worked-up idiots just because we could. The leaders whom few of us would have missed were, of course, sheltering among their victims.

And, yes, I do expect our government to sometimes protect citizens from their own idiocy, when it can. Probably a good 100 million of us, or more, can fall into that category under various circumstances. Besides, if you remember that crowd, most will have already reproduced. Nothing to gain that way by shooting them down.

As for Kim, we'll see if this doesn't scare her into pocketing her proceeds and doing a fade.

These guys are sheriffs, and they don't seem to understand how contempt of court works? Not about their opinions on gay marriage? Really? I'll bet if a county clerk somewhere refused to issue gun licenses we'd hear them singing a different tune. (An imperfect comparison, I know, since these guys probably think it's unconstitutional to require a license for a gun...)

8. I disagree. I think the Feds would back down again. But there's a silver lining...

Here's how I see it unfolding:

1. Davis refuses to issue licenses.
2. They issue a bench warrant for her arrest.
3. Deputies come to arrest her.
4. Oathkeepers surround her house with armed goons pointing .50 sniper rifles at the police.
5. ...and FOX NEWS has to take a one week break from their stupid "Blue Lives Matter" propaganda campaign.

10. You are probably right

The key will be to not let Davis be put into a position of breaking the law again. That way no arrest warrant will have to be issued. If there is a shoot out then it will be fuel on the fire for the nut jobs. They would love to have another Ruby Ridge, Waco type conflict and they would especially love to have it on Obama's watch.
