Thankfully, there were some presidential contenders on both the Republican and Democratic sides who were willing to stand up for Muslim-Americans’ right to exist, in reference to things said at a recent Trump town hall. "Chris Christie spoke about Donald Trump‘s Q&A blunder on NBC’s Today, where he went after The Donald for declining the opportunity to correct a questioner who was saying that President Obamawas a Muslim who was “not even an American.”

Christie said that as an aspiring leader, Trump has an “obligation” to set things straight and offer corrections whenever fielding such questions.

“I would correct them and I would say, ‘The President’s a Christian and he was born in this country.’ Those two things are self-evident,” Christie said. “Donald Trump’s got to decide, as we’ve seen, I’ve said this all along. He’s got to decide how serious a candidate he wants to be, and how he handles different problems like this are going to determine that.””*

1. TYT has amnesia

Come on Cenk! How can you forget what Hillary was doing during the 2008 campaign. Claming Obama was associated with extreme radicals. That he, Michelle and Rev, Wright hates America. When Hillary was asked is Obama a Muslim, all she said, was as fare as I know he isn't.

Hillary's Super-Pac is already claiming Bernie would be friendly to terrorists because he is a radical socialist.

McCain defended Obama in a Town Hall meeting, but his VP, Sarah Palin continued to drum up hate and racism in her stump speeches.

2. I wish someone would ask what's wrong with being Muslim.

That guy not only insulted Obama, he also insulted all Muslims by implying that being Muslim is somehow an insult. He was wrong on both counts, and I wish someone would mention the second.
