(45,251 posts)I am usually firmly on the side of wait staff, but this is very odd. Of course, we did not see what happened before filming began, but good luck with that "decent tip."

(1,581 posts)I must confess the video started to tick me off, then I found out it was Ed Debevic's. Then it was alright. There used to be a couple of Ed Debevic's in Phoenix until about 10 years ago, so I know (and love) the way they operate. I would always go there on my birthday. I would never tell them that because they would do their version of "Happy Birthday to You" and I can't stand that song! But, I still loved going there.
One time when I was with my Mother, there was a buss-boy who shouted out sayings and slogans. He said, "Mind your Mother!" And I said, "My Mother already has a Mind, thank you!" I got big laughs from nearby tables as well as from Mom. And the buss-boy gave me a stunned look, as if to say, "Damn, I wish I'd thought of that."
Come back to Phoenix, Ed Debevic's. I and a lotta people miss you.
