Sen. Elizabeth Warren Speech on Race

Getting to the Point series - Edward M. Kennedy Institute

Published on Sep 28, 2015
The Institute is proud to have Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) headline its Getting to the Point series. Senator Warren is recognized as one of the nation’s top experts on bankruptcy and the financial pressures facing middle class families. She is widely credited for the original thinking and work that led to the creation of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

Thanks for posting this. I'm watching it now.

Oh, my. Wow. Where did that 55 minutes GO? My goodness! This may be as close as I'll get to being in the same room with her, and I kid you not, the hairs on the back of my neck are standing up.

Sen. Warren didn't really start slowly, but she definitely built up steam until about the 29-minute mark. Then, look out. She was ROLLING. This was no roller-coaster ride with Sen. Warren, either, because roller-coasters dip. She did not.

The Q and A at the end was my favorite part, because Sen. Warren took all of her knowledge and wrapped it around her LOVE for the United States and We the People. Pretty simple, really. We have to care for one another, invest in our children together, and push and pull our country back to its ideals.

If I had doubts about whether we really could achieve that, she erased them in less than an hour.

Let's go.
