Some of you may have seen the first part of the investigation, inside the 'Backroom', but I will post for those that haven't. Second video is the more recent update & follow-up where ALEC Legislator resigns to become lobbyist after earlier report aired.

Makes you realize why Americans have had enough of this bought-and-paid-for government system at both the national and state level, and change is finally starting to happen across the spectrum.

The people of Georgia have lost their democracy. All that bible thumping was convenient cover for a bunch of evil people making it legal to do bad things. I say Georgia because of the videos, but is there a state with no ALEC operations? Also the OP says "and change is finally starting to happen across the spectrum". Really? This has been exposed over and over and nothing changes. I am surprised 11 Alive in Atlanta even did the story. Glad, but surprised.

5. That is how you buy yourself a government.

Encourage those who want to make a big score financially to run for government office and then bribe them to vote for things that makes makes the corporation a lot of money...and use a portion of that to pay off the law makers.

The system is corrupt and needs systemic change.
