Some DUers hate John for his treatment of Yoko. Yoko is over it. Maybe they will some day get over it.

for his treatment of Yoko? That's a new one for me. I'm better acquainted with the ones who hate Yoko for allegedly breaking up the Beatles. I have no bad feelings for Yoko.

I actually found out the next morning, because I was going to night school then. I was gettign ready for work and had 1010 WINS ("all news all the time&quot on and when they mentioned the guy "who shot John Lennon", my reaction was "Which John Lennon?" I was reeling when it sunk in, as were many many others.

...the local FM station was playing the then-new "Fleetwood Mac Live" album with limited commercial interruption, and I was recording the broadcast on my reel-to-reel...after Side 2 wound to a close, the jock came on and announced that John had been shot in NYC. I was shocked into silence for a minute, then I woke my wife up to tell her the sad news. The broadcast resumed, and not long thereafter the jock came back on to confirm that John was dead.

Even though it's been years now since I've owned a reel-to-reel, I've never quite been able to throw that tape away.
