Not a single place has Fox on. In fact no news at all. I have been to the car dealership that used to have Fox, and it was Discovery channel. Eye doctor, it was some sports show. I don't think I have seen Fox on any TV this year come to think of it. Used to be everywhere I went. Strange.

And possibly the cable. The condition was that it always be on Fox News. Maybe they stopped. I think there is a natural fatigue that sets on too.

They know how terrible they are yet they will hold their nose and vote for them anyway. They will justify their stupidity by blaming both sides of the isle.

---- now he (and likely many of his radio wannabes) rails vs the 'establishment' as he pumps trump (until he isn't), and tries to take deserved leadership of the teabaggers (dittoheads/talk radio base), maybe until he gets paid enough to get back into the rove camp.

the fact that the pundit class still doesn't factor talk radio in their assessments of cause and effect is absurd.

sometimes Trump sounds like a Dem, but then he pulls himself back. For example, he says hedge funds will have to pay more taxes, but he is not tackling Wall St. in general with their tax havens, giving inside info to certain Congresspersons, giving execs absurdly high salaries and expensive perks, and so on.

he knows, and has mentioned in different ways, that trump has the thing that authoritarians need the most - royal i'm-never-wrong certitude (like limbaugh) and that 'trumps' anything else. so he'll just gloss over the trump 'liberalism'

he was just saying recently how much fear there is in the country - of obama, liberalism, terorism, etc. and trump engenders confidence....

and here's where that whole fear/uncertainty- certainty dynamic comes from:

Has the legalization of gay marriage had a positive or negative impact on your life, or has it not had any impact at all?

Positive impact............................................... 20%

Negative impact............................................. 26%

No impact at all............................................. 54%

How exactly does someone else getting married negatively impact your life?

So, they lost that which must be a negative for them.

And that vote can also be used against the assholes who are currently in office. If you don't like the people who you vote for the last time, you don't have to keep voting for them. You have the power to exercise that right to vote. Get out there and do it! Otherwise....

old, senile, uneducated and incompetent keep electing them to office. They have rigged the elections so they will always win in most of the states. The Republicans control the small community councils, mayors, court systems right up to the state offices. When will the Democrats get out the vote and push them out of office. WHEN?
Democracy takes work, lots of work, esp with the current GOP. They have one mission. DESTRUCTION.
If the voters don't turn the elections around, this nation will fail. It is well on its way. McConnell and his buddies said back in 2008 they would destroy Obama, well they done a good job at that. Its been a Congress and Senate doing nothing.
Our nation will look like Cuba does after 50 years of doing nothing.
Wake up voters to the LIES and doing nothing of the GOP. They actually tell you in messages what they will do to destroy your freedom, yet you continue to elect t hem.

reflect the belief that they are not crazy enough?

Like, how dare they be bi-partisany and not just shut the government for good? After all, Congress' approval rating has dropped since the new Congress was seated....is it because we still have Obamacare, gay marriage is legal countrywide, there's a new deal with Iran, Hillary Clinton hasn't folded her tent and gone home, the socialist Marxist Muslim Manchurian Kenyan president is still wielding his tyrannical pen, the feds are still invading Texas, building FEMA camps and NAFTA superhighways but not, alas, the Keystone pipeline...etc. etc. etc.

In short, the righteous patriots of the GOPee gave the party complete control of Congress and STILL nothing is getting DONE!

It has been apparent to me that most often Republican voters are disappointed in their elected officials not because of the already shitty job they are doing, but because they are not right-wing extremist enough for them. I am afraid for what they want to replace this current lot with. I fear the next set of freshmen might make Mussolini look like a hippie.

... the way I've been beginning to think this whole house leadership thing might shake out. As unpopular as the leadership may be in the "Party of NO!", note who's the MOST popular in our pic-of-the-day - BOEHNER!

I'm thinking that, after falling on his sword and stepping down, Boehner may finally be asked to pull the damned, bloody sword out of his bloated belly, and resume the chair. Nobody else really WANTS the job - at least nobody who could POSSIBLY get enough votes to win the thing.

In the end, governing is actually the NEXT-TO-LAST thing these fools want to do - the ABSOLUTELY LAST thing they want is to be governed, i. e., to HAVE a leader to follow.
