The Verdict Is In: Bernie Won The First Debate

While most mainstream media outlets were quick to declare Hillary Clinton the winner of the Democratic debate, they neglected some very important factors that came along immediately following the debate. And once the dust settled, it became obvious that Bernie Sanders emerged victorious.

Ring of Fire’s Farron Cousins discusses this.

The People are waking up and finally realizing what the Republicans (and unfortunately, many Democrats), corporations, RW think tanks, U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Wall Street, the MIC, and the corporate media have been up to these last 40 years. They have been subtly taking control over our government, judiciary, and turning our mass media into propaganda designed to give us false targets for our frustration at losing out economically and politically. As they always do, they pushed to far, got too greedy, and now they have awakened the sleeping giant that is the American people.

With Bernie in the lead, he gives us a direction and a focus that OWS never had. OWS was the tremor of the power that is now being unleashed. We demand change, real change not to be diverted by empty promises. We will fight for Publicly Funded Elections to take back Representative Democracy. No longer will politicians look to big Donors for their cues!

There is the work on getting Bernie in the White House. Once accomplished there is still a lot to be done, we will have to continue to step up and do it!

Couldn't find much that would recommend him as a specific expert or even a first rate source of any notable regard, so it looks like his comments are praiseworthy for only one reason. There's been a lot of criticisms from the Sanders followers about citing the national press media and political pundits who have heavily weighed in favoring Clinton. In that vein, I am trying to understand why this particular person's opinion should be lauded as a more worthy than the others. Why defend someone whose credentials seem rather unremarkable?

But that has nothing whatsoever to do with why this fellow's opinion should be given any more consideration than the other commentators who were summarily dismissed. It can't work both ways or the whole anti hillary angst collapses in the frothy reasoning that somehow it's all OK as long as it favors Sanders, but it's a mass conspiracy if its for Clinton... so which is it?

Hey, it's evident you've got way bigger fish to fry than this. I don't want to deprive the world of any more of your time.

I haven't watched L. O'donnell for some time now. But for lack of something better to do, I put on last night. Good God! If Lawrence wore lipstick, HRC's hind side would be a testament to Revlon! No wonder he's survived the machete of MSNBC's latest re-do. I used to enjoy LO and his insights borne of his experiences in govt. NO MORE.
I did see a clip where Chris M. was lauding Bernie. Someone in the "control" room must've stepped out for a cup of coffee for Matthews to pull that off!

I'm surprised anyone watches TV any more. It is like saying, I'll just sit here and be lied to, so I'll become ill informed and stupid.

There's other things on TV besides network news and "reality" shows. When I watched the engrossing program about electric eels in the Amazon last night, I didn't really feel like I was being made dumber.
