Free Speech TV: Bill Maher Endorses Bernie Sanders Despite Writing Him Off Months Ago (Original Post) portlander23 Oct 2015 OP
It wasn't exactly an endorsement. I still think he's a Hillarian on some level. Ed Suspicious Oct 2015 #1

Bernie is one of the most likeable people on the planet. He has charisma, but it's kind of a stealth charisma as he doesn't look the part of a charismatic leader, he has messy hair, his clothes kind of swallow him up, he talks kinda funny, he gets visibly annoyed, I could go on and on and on, but you get the idea. If you describe him on paper it's like who is gonna follow him and support him? But, when he speaks he is very powerful, persuasive, and he exudes charm. When he does interviews you can't help but like him. No one says he is a bad guy. Because what you see is what you get and he has no guile and that is his best feature and for his opponents the hardest thing for them to overcome, because they are polished, they have guile, and we all know it.

Watch him command this crowd who nearly toppled Andrea Mitchell.

Everyone backs away.

Don't mess with the the man who speaks the Truth. Everyone senses his sincerity. The dishonest are hoping that he will just go away but....

She was pro-Hillary, but now and not from me she is hearing things about Bernie (I stopped talking politics with her for the most part about 6 years ago) and she wants to be a fan. She just thinks he is too good to be true, so she is approaching supporting him with scepticism. I am not going to try to sway her opinion on the matter, I think she is smart enough to work it out. But, I will keep hammering away on policy issues. She leans more conservative than I do which is true for most liberals.

IIRC that video doesn't even begin to do justice to how scary the situation was. I saw another angle and it was really bad, Andrea was literally being swallowed and smothered by the crowd. People that poo poo this must not have read about people getting crushed by crowds in soccer games. It is tragic that these things happen, Bernie was right to step in and not minimize the danger of her being harmed. What really amazes me is that Andrea isn't really a friend to liberal causes and Bernie gave her his attention.
