Before that, aerial imagery was difficult to access. Even good maps were work to find and access, and often meant long-distance research trips to major universities.

Now, I have thousands of ancient monuments placemarked and can zoom right in on them:

The enthusiasm and slight quaver in Pacek's voice indicates her real enthusiasm for her subject. Thank Steven Colbert for allowing the worthy discussion of subjects beyond mindless show business and politics.

My niece is an archaeologist. Although she had access to some Central and South American sites while in school and beyond, she's mostly worked doing "digs" on U.S. sites before construction and development for her day to day living. She, nonetheless, has the option of being offered more exotic work internationally. I may be somewhat wrong on the details..sorry C.L. As a retired teacher, this is not a field I'd ever thought of guiding students toward. aAn interest beyond a glamorous Indiana Jones in this field should be given some information and material.

And Stephen gets an Indiana Jones hat. And it looks good on him.
