At a Donald Trump rally in Pensacola Florida, a trio of young girls performed a song and dance routine for the crowd. The video is sending chills down the spines of many people who are reminded of similar performances in North Korea. Ana Kasparian, Becca Frucht, Jimmy Dore (The Jimmy Dore Show), and Elliot Hill (The LipTV) hosts of The Young Turks discuss.
Do you think the video is creepy? What does it remind you of? Let us know in the comments below.

Three of the five girls from the musical group USA Freedom Kids on Wednesday performed their song "Freedom's Call," a kid-friendly dance song promoting real estate magnate Donald Trump's presidential run, at Trump's Pensacola, Florida rally.
"Oh say can you see, it's not so easy, but we have to stand up tall and answer freedom's call," the girls sang.
"President Donald Trump knows how to make America great, deal from strength or get crushed every time," they continued.

(19,288 posts)But it goes something along the lines of 'When American Democracy fails it will be brought down by an internal enemy wrapped in the flag and carrying a Bible, very' roughly paraphrased.
Anyone with any sense feels the fear of this type of Rampant Nationalism' being a harbinger of Fascism.
Hell yes, it has that, North Korean, fear factor!

(2,212 posts)... the exact quote being, "When fascism comes to America, it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying the cross."
The problem is that there's no evidence Lewis ever wrote or uttered those words, not even in his novel It Can't Happen Here (1935), a satirical novel about the rise of an American dictator. The closest Lewis came to the quote in question was in a February 1948 story in The Gazette and Daily, a Pennsylvania newspaper, where he commented, "When fascism comes to the United States it will be wrapped in the American flag and will claim the name of 100-percent Americanism...."
Anyway, the flag-and-cross quote is wonderful, and, personally, I'm happy to give credit for it to Lewis, even if some of the details are a bit fuzzy.

(27,461 posts)[Verse 1]
Cowardice, are you serious?
Apologies for freedom, I can't handle this!
When freedom rings, answer the call!
On your feet, stand up tall!
Freedom's on our shoulders, USA!
Enemies of freedom
Face the music, come on boys, take 'em down!
President Donald Trump knows how to make America great
Deal from strength or get crushed every time
[Chorus]
Over here, USA!
Over there, USA!
Freedom and liberty everywhere
Oh say can you see
It's not so easy
But we have to stand up tall and answer freedom's call
[Verse 2]
USA, USA!
USA, USA
We're the land of the free and the home of the brave, USA!
The stars and stripes are flying
Let's celebrate our freedom
Inspire proudly freedom to the world
Ameritude, USA!
American pride, USA!
It's attitude, it's who we are, stand up tall
We're the red, white and blue
Fiercely free, that's who!
Our colors don't run, no sir-e
[Chorus]
Over here, USA!
Over there, USA!
Freedom and liberty everywhere
Oh say can you see
It's not so easy
But we have to stand up tall and answer freedom's call

(133 posts)Published by the University of Chicago in 1955, Milton Mayer's book, "They Thought They Were Free" tells how the German people were lulled into accepting change in German society in the run up to World War II.
It has been noted that Trumps' speeches contain no content, only short phrasing, intended to rouse the masses.
The way that the Trump organization gains continuous free access to the press all the while manipulating the presses access to Trump himself. The mongering of fear, identification and highlighting 'them' verses 'us', the demagoguery, all points to a very scary reflection of a what I hope is a sub-set of American society.
Disclaimer : it is true that it is considered poor form to make comparisons of modern politics to any elements of the Nazi regime, however in this case I am leaning heavily on personal experience as my parents and my uncles fought in that conflict.
