1. Why did state and local officials believe that they could ignore the Clean Water Act? So they

could make money just like the other natural resource confiscation corporation; like those taking gas. Congress is allowing the Cheney Energy ACt of 2005-06 to go unchanged. IMO, it seems to be money in the pockets of lawmakers also.

Senate Republicans take aim at Obama gas ‘fracking’ regulations
By Ben Geman - 03/29/12 01:36 PM EDT
Senior Senate Republicans are floating legislation that would slam the brakes on Obama administration efforts to expand regulation of the controversial oil-and-gas drilling method called “hydraulic fracturing” on federal lands.

Sen. James Inhofe (Okla.), the ranking Republican on the Environment and Public Works Committee, is the lead sponsor, and the seven other backers include Sen. Lisa Murkowski (Alaska), the top GOP member on the Energy and Natural Resources Committee.

The bill is unlikely to advance but will provide Republicans another rallying point for allegations that President Obama’s Interior Department and Environmental Protection Agency have an overzealous agenda that will stymie development.

The bill introduced Wednesday requires that only states may regulate hydraulic fracturing — or “fracking” —– on federal lands within their borders.

“States better understand their unique geologies and interests,” Inhofe said when introducing the measure.

2. Again................My Rant.........

This is the republican Ayn Rand concept of governance ------------------------

And what is really despicable is now the Snyder criminal enterprise got an "Order" from the EPA, that it must show how it is going to clean this mess up.

But the good old Ayn Rand Snyder enterprise, wants to play the blame game and say that the Federal law doesn't apply--------------well guess what Snyder---------------its does, if you take our tax money (5 million to 80 million), to clean this stuff up---------------------(you know the poisoning and deaths of people in your man made caused appointed city manager of Flint, now in the Detroit school system-------hell, he just knows how to multi-task doesn't he, Snyder-----with the same results)------------then I want the EPA involved and I want this right wing Ayn Rand Paul Ryan Congress to explain to the public why they are trying to gut this agency.

And not with some lame excuse that it is not needed----------------------really.

There are more than 60 new chemicals that are in the ground water, and your band of Ayn Rand hypocrites want to gut and cut more from the agency--------------and did you know they (chemicals0 are deforming frogs------you know those little amphibians that are a bellwether to the ecology and safety of what makes this planet survive.

He (Snyder) has not once said what he was going to do with the 80 million (our collective tax dollars from the country)which the president is sending to help.

Not one iota from the Ayn Rand Snyder on what and when he his going to start digging up those lines and put "new" lines in nothing, and the aftermath of the children and there medical problems------------------nothing.

And then his republican Ayn Rand Attorney General is going to begin an investigation--------well, he's also a day late and dollar short..................Were is a "independent" prosecutor.

Hell, what did the (AG of Michigan) and his cronies say about the use of a governor with his power to just go around and "appoint a city un-elected city manager" not much, or nothing at all-----------heck the legislature didn't do anything either-------------------its like if it wasn't my city or town, to bad Flint, Detroit, ect., guess what republican controlled states here is the template------------------go get-em

Then to top it all off, has anyone heard anything in the state (Michigan) from the right wing controlled legislature -------------------------nothing that I know of, like they were or are sitting on this raining day fund $380 million, and doing what, with the money -----------hell, it's like, we got this money, lets see if we can build another stadium for some of our rich cronies, and then charge the taxpayers for the stadium-----what a scam.

Then what is really galling is the state legislature hasn't even broached the idea of letting the Flint residents NOT pay there water bill, they (Flint) can't even drink or shower with this stuff, and they want to foreclose on these homes, because of this lack of payment.

I say Impeach Snyder, fire the Attorney General and then start impeaching every legislature that hasn't done anything except enrich themselves at the public trough.

Again, Quotes from Rick Snyder:

"I'm a proud Republican - there's no issue with that at all, so why can't I be a proud Republican and just try to solve problems?"

"But as a practical matter, Detroit's the sports city in the country."

"So if you want great sports, Michigan's the place to be."

"I'm very proud of the auto industry in Michigan."

Then there is this going on in the country------------------------but we have a MSM doing what salivating on a man who thinks that he can just point a gun and shoot someone and know one will notice because he is after all a Trump and not a chump

Iowa, North Carolina is a absolute mess when it comes to the water-------------------its just as bad as Michigan, but its the hog and chicken and the "the Big Agricultural " powers decimating the water supply.

Ask the Des Moines residents about there river water supply------------------its not pretty------------but another extremist governor (who the MSM is touting has some moderate republican----------------really, he is bought and paid for by the AG Business interests----------------that are from China-----------------just think of what China does for pollution------they shut down car traffic, because you can't see two feet in front of your nose in Beijing------------I mean really) the Ag business cronies in the Iowa legislature sure do like there money------------------hell, the state AG businesses are owned by the Chinese (Harper's magazine January Edition ), they should call it the Chinese first state instead of Iowa, January Edition of Harper's magazine (The Trouble with Iowa).

Now in the Maryland, they (chicken farmers in the Delmarva) are screaming that they will be forced to "transport" the chicken fecal material instead of letting it just drain into the Chesapeake.

And now there using the old and tried out axiom that it will cost more to produce---------------well guess what---------------fecal material is not good for water any water.

I really wonder if these farmers would like to have fecal material getting into there well water and if they would just drink it, it's like this mentality out of sight out of mind

Nestle ------------wants to drill two wells in the Poconos and decimate that ground water supply so that they can use it for more Deer Park water and create a Water Park----------------and they didn't have any meetings for the permits

The Colorado River is in so many fights for water rights --------------that if it makes it to the Rio Grande (which is Joke for a name) is almost completely dead.

Wyoming and Pennsylvania are using ground water" as and agent in there fracking of oil and gas

And then you have T. Boone Pickens buying up water rights in the Texas Aquifer and wells, to sell.

Then to top it all off we have oil company suing the citizens of this country under Nafta, because they can't put a tar sands disaster to be placed over the Oglala Aquifer, because its a infringement of us and the sovereignty of us to be protected from pollution -----------------------------but nope we have these "trade deals" going to create more jobs, really

Columbia River is damn near in shambles for fish spawning, right along with the delta region in California

Then there is the republican controlled U.S Senate-----------------look at what they (McCain and his buddy Flake) did to the Grand canyon for a foreign business interests to mine for uranium and the fact that some businesses want to put up a shopping mall at entrance---to hell with scared land---------------------------we need another mine and another shopping mall

http://www.tucsonweekly.com/TheRange/archives/2015/04/30/critics-call-mccains-oak-flat-tactics-a-new-low

The list goes on and on

And do you think a MSM show would have a two hour plus special on this crisis, or ask any of the candidates what they would do-----------------I mean really-------------------it is a requirement to have clean water to live and what is there position of the EPA-----------------it is a kinda a really important question-----------you would think

3. I believe that Synder has used the money to stabilize the state budget as tax money is not rolling
Tue Jan 26, 2016, 02:09 PM

in like it used to because no one has money to spend in this Rand economy. I agree with you. There used to be available money moving from regular citizens to the cities and counties for the services of a non-third world. Now our money is sitting off shore in accounts and not being circulated as it once was by those few who do not worry about drinking unfiltered and untested water.

There was a report out in September about the known fracking compounds in ground water but because of the Cheney Energy Act no one will go to jail or be accountable to yet another atrocity against the American people, especially our children.

We are yet to imagine the cost of this to our society as theses children grow up all needing care for the disabling conditions that Congress allows to continue. Congress has taken no action on the radiation that was in the armaments in Kuwait, Afghanistan and Iraq either.

Congress needs to end the Energy Act.

4. And now in his "quest"............................Snyder.....................
Tue Jan 26, 2016, 04:26 PM
Jan 2016

along with his cronies, they are now shifting the "blame" unto the public employees, because they are my friend, UNION members, they have a pension and its there fault --------------------not this time.

This Ayn Rand concept of blaming those that have the least, and this Fountainhead Ayn Rand mentality that corporation and the dog eat dog world is just fine doesn't work that way.

My father was telling me about what they were doing to Wyoming, when he was living there.

They started this hydraulic fracking and Halliburton was using so much water, that ground around the high desert was dying because of the pollution of the chemicals that they were injecting, all because, like you rightly said, Dick the criminal Cheney, the same guy who wrote a book and he goes on T.V Face the Nation to hype so book while he killed 4,685 people based on lie, and that show that MSM show did not challenge him or his daughter----------------------amazing.

This hypocrite still can't travel to the Europe because he would be frog stepping into and out of the Hague court room.

Now if you are in Wyoming that lovely equality state, if you take samples of water out anywhere, or to get samples to see what kind of contamination is happening------------------------they throw you in jail, because some person that cared said---------------- hey this water is contaminated----------see --------------isn't that sweet--------------not from that state, you and I don't need to know this stuff of whats in the water-------------------sorry but I want to know there Wyoming its by basic common need to survive and also for the critters

It is absolutely amazing that they let these hypocrites off and then blame everyone except themselves.

I just don't understand how they sleep at night------------no principles -------------------nothing except------------- greed
