I'd melt snow for drinking water in most of Alaska but in the lower 48, not so much unless it was freshly fallen. Even then, I'd boil it before I drank it.
They are certainly slobs, stuff trod into the mud instead of being picked up and shoved into a trash bag. Policing the area is not in their vocabulary.
The rant about Marc Rich was especially interesting, guess these guys don't know that the pardon was lobbied for by Republicans, Scooter Libby (blamed for outing Plame) being the most prominent. It wasn't Clinton's idea and he shouldn't have allowed himself to be bullied into it, but he seems to have gotten bullied a lot. See: Glass-Steagall repeal. Funny how these guys think Democrats commit all the high crimes in office, they're all complete Pox News propagandized morons who haven't kept up with which administrations have produced the most indicted criminals.
It's really sad. These guys are proof of why the Fairness Doctrine needs to be reinstituted. People who hear only one side of a propaganda argument will tend to believe it is the truth. Stupidity, ignorance and provinciality all help this process along.
