Can we just get some reasonable disagreements from the other side, instead of shelving every democratic bill without reason?
You won't see me on a stage introducing the President. I voted for Barack Obama, twice, John Kerry before him and Al Gore before him, because I don't want to have to resort to Republican death panels. I'll be voting for and encouraging others around me to vote for our democratic nominee as well.

(799 posts)You see it so often. I Republican is never able to empathize with someone else's problem until it affects them. There are so many instances of this. Only when a republican is personally affected by some hardship or the hard ship of someone in his immediate family do they change their tune. They are all about themselves until they need the help. I'm glad this guy came out and said what he did but if it had not happened to him, he would be pushing for repeal.
