less arrogantly,

but males in competitive occupations say similar things

I don't think about failing

Don't consider losing for a minute

Just concentrate on the next game, the next day

Or even 'guaranteeing' a win in a playoff game

So it's not a shining moment, but to me it's not gotcha either

... there's a key difference between refusing to consider defeat in sports or a business venture, where it makes sense to view your success as solely a matter of your commitment, and running for office, where your fate is not in your hands, but the voters'. They get to decide who wins, not you.

For this reason, the only sensible answer to the kind of questions Katie Couric posed is along the lines of, "I'm doing everything in my power to get my message out, and I hope--I believe--that the American people will embrace that message." You know, the kind of response Bernie Sanders has routinely given to such questions.

The answers that Hillary Clinton gives here are all wrong. "Well, it will be me." No one gets the White House just because they want it really, really, really badly and view it as an inevitability.

I'm sure venting makes you feel better. I don't agree with you.

But I will support the Democratic Ticket, or whoever will defeat the
Republicans, in November.

It was an attempt to exchange ideas and discuss a point. If you can't discuss ideas, some of which you may disagree with, without getting your back up, perhaps a political message board isn't the best place for you.

back then it seems there will be NOTHING she won't do to win this time! And she may succeed, but because of this kind of stuff and there's reams and reams of more of this, too many will ALWAYS think she DIDN'T WIN! I think it will follow her ALWAYS, but CLEARLY she doesn't want respect, she just wants to win!

If it wasn't so wrong, it would truly be sad!

When your ego controls your mental acuity...

The only election she won was in NY state...her senate job where she did very little to help the American people...

If you believe your own lies, you'll be more convincing when you tell them to others. The drawback is that often you miss the train that is about to hit you!

When a boxer goes into the ring he never considers the possibility that he might lose. Same with a NFL football team. A bank robber never thinks he'll be caught - else he wouldn't rob banks. She not showing arrogance here - she just doesn't want the prospect of her losing creep into the campaign. The poster is making a mountain out of a mole. BTW-GO BERNIE !!

he selected someone to be his Secretary of State ... hmmm. Seems like she provided a good answer to a rather dumb question, a question Katie Couric was so proud of that she couldn't let go of it. Who knows, Senator Sanders ... Secretary of Treasury ...
