Related: About this forumMore Than 50 Mass Shootings in 2016 – Why Is No One Talking About This?
There have been more than 50 mass shootings in the United States in 2016, and were still at the beginning of the month of March. And even with President Obamas recent executive action, it is still far too easy for people to get their hands on deadly weapons.
Ring of Fires Farron Cousns and Elliot Fineman, the CEO of the Gun Victims Action Network, discuss what needs to happen to finally bring about some change in this country

Because gun fanciers whine loudly and give a lot of money to right wing lobbyists at NRA.

"Mass Shootings" is a very recent categorization, supplanting the older "Mass Murders"....

It has been the subject of many OP's on DU, this was addressed in SC recently.

It will take time before the chief component of the control/banner outlook -- mainstream media -- conditions the public to a new fear. Be assured they are at it full time, but the Newz and Big 3 T.V. aren't the big guys on the block anymore. Gun control is not a "movement," but a rather elitist outlook with little grassroots activism and fund-raising. It must depend on wealthy bankrollers, foundations and the Newz' constant (but archaic) agitprop.
