(36,392 posts)Not a big surprise. I hope he can hang on until the end just in case Mrs. Clinton's problems with the law get worse.

Actually - I think he just made me mad.

(16,104 posts)Including the "Deep South."
I've voted in many a primary where the election had already been determined.
Now it's your turn.

(127 posts)How in the world do you construe Bernie's statement that none of the "Deep South" states are going to vote Democratic in November as dismissing millions of Democrats?
Do you know something the rest of us don't? What states in the "Deep South" are the Democrats going to win? Please enlighten us.
yallerdawg
(16,104 posts)When asked about her 2 million vote lead...
Bernie dismissed that lead.
So your saying as a Democrat I shouldn't even bother voting because I live in a Red State? I should just let the bicoastal elites pick the candidate, and settle in for a Trump presidency?
You just made me madder!
debunction.junction
(127 posts)Otherwise, why would he continue running? As Yogi said, "It ain't over till it's over."
Take a chill pill. I never said anything of the sort. I am sorry that you live in a Red State. Nothing would make me happier than if your Red State went Blue. Do you see that happening anytime soon?
No, you should not "just let the bicoastal elites pick the candidate," nor should the rest of us be expected to let the "Deep South" pick our candidate.
Maybe you just like being mad.

(1,820 posts)maybe you should listen again. He didn't say a word implying the south was wrong. He said he got creamed in the South - that is all he said.
Get over it...

(8,200 posts)He acknowledged that he got creamed there and said that that the upcoming primaries are more favorable to him. He didn't say one area was better or worse, or that the voters in any area are better or worse. He just said that the early primaries are weighted toward the south, but other areas still need to weigh in, including the west coast.
I'm having a tough time understanding why you are taking offense--especially since I live in a state that hasn't held its primary yet, and I would like my vote to carry as much weight as votes from the early states.

(6,994 posts)He just said Democrats will not carry Southern states in the General.....and yes people in the Southern States will vote against their own interest
Also take a look at the voter turn out in the South for Democrats compared to Republicans

Bernie's points were well made, he carried on, and I sure want his campaign to go on!
I want Bernie to help ensure that TPP is dead, dead, dead. I want Bernie to say that climate warming will probably KILL the planet if we don't fix this fast. And reduce income inequality, raise minimum wage, have health care for all, break up the monopolistic companies, etc.
Surely almost ALL of us here want the same things -- I mean Democratic Underground is our home.
I am in Oregon and am looking forward to being able to vote in the primaries.
More contributions and help from me ahead!
Go Bernie!

(1,820 posts)And I am for Bernie!!! Totally and completely.
And to all the Hillary supporters who say we should give up and unify - BERNIE says what I think - everyone gets to vote - including those of us in California.
So for him!!!

(2,145 posts)I think she will win it all and finally have her presidential crown. Isn't that what it's about for Hillary? if Kasich should somehow squeak out the nomination on the right, she's toast. He's authentic like Bernie. Even though he's another right-wing nightmare.
