Spoken, in part, at Liberty University, a top-ten conservative gathering of people who collectively don't understand a single word Bernie said.

These are the people who shamelessly support those who break the backs of the working class and poor.

The message is not laughable, but the audience IS.

before you cast aspersions perhaps you should actually listen to it. It was IMO a brilliant speech. I've watched it several times myself...its very moving.

Here:

and now that you've watched that, let me hook you up with a response to his presentation BY a Liberty University alumnus which is also quite interesting. I should mention, he BECAME a Bernie Sanders supporter because of his speech at Liberty University.

It is really a fascinating thing to see and witness.

I had not heard this. Everyone should hear this. I'm an atheist, but it doesn't make this message any less pure and true, because I do believe there was a Jesus who was a great and good man, who cared for everyone. And I honor anyone who tries to live up to his example.

He reached across what I at one time considered an insurmountable divide and found common ground. It really was an amazing speech. He should release the transcript.
