Will Hillary Rise To Bernie’s NYC Debate Challenge?

Bernie Sanders has challenged Hillary Clinton to a debate on her “home turf” of New York – but her campaign is reluctant to face off against a surging Sanders. Could her refusal be just as damaging as showing up? Ring of Fire’s Farron Cousins discusses this.

Bernie Sanders challenges Hillary Clinton to debate in Brooklyn
Updated: Sunday, January 31, 2016, 12:09 PM

Bernie Sanders wants Hillary Clinton to prove her Brooklyn values — with a debate.

The Sanders campaign abruptly challenged Clinton to debate in the borough, where Sanders grew up and where Clinton has her campaign headquarters.

The request came as the neck-and-neck Democratic presidential contenders are figuring out where to hold their upcoming debates.

(snip)

The Sanders campaign shot back that Flint is fine — so long as Clinton agrees to squaring off in Brooklyn.

Sanders is “pleased to do” the Michigan debate, his campaign said in a statement, “provided the Clinton campaign will agree to Brooklyn, New York, on April 14.”

Bernie keeps doing things like calling for her to release her Wall St. speech transcripts, pointing out to voters where she raises her campaign cash, and explaining policy differences he has with her and it really, really pisses her off.

There are approximately 1.5 million Jews (as of 2001) in the New York metropolitan area, making it the second largest Jewish community in the world, after the Tel Aviv Metropolitan Area in Israel (however, Tel Aviv proper has a smaller population of Jews than New York City proper, making New York City the largest community of Jews in the world).

New York City's Jewish population is more than Chicago's, Philadelphia's, San Francisco's, and Washington, D.C.'s combined Jewish populations.

Looks like it's time to find out if they're HRC - Chuck Schumer / Benjamin Netanyahu peeps or Bernie peeps. I wish Jerrold Nadler would stand up for Bernie.

1. She's going to be interviewed by the FBI. It will take brain surgery on 100s of million voters to remove that information.
2. If she doesn't debate in NY before the primary, she will lose a huuuge part of the Jewish vote.
3. If she does debate in NY before the primary, she will lose a huuuge part of the Jewish vote.

The response from the HRC campaign that Bernie's tone is unacceptable is an indicator of her weakness in New York. HRC needs a concession to show that Bernie is the weak one. So, I hope Bernie keeps driving hard his message. She should agree to a debate in New York, her home state, because it's the right thing to do. And, by the way, drive home that she is tainted by Wall Street money. (Did you just notice that Goldman-Sachs is going to court again, this time charged with rigging interest rates on bonds.)

Why does he have to challenge her though?
They all promised to have a debate in April, and therefore, they must have a debate somewhere. New York seems like a perfect spot because it offers so many delegates.
If I remember correctly, Clinton camp was the one that suddenly asked for more debates going into NH primary, because they were about to lose there. That's how we got more debates in the first place.
Why the hell are we even having this conversation? Why do we have to deal with their bullshit at every fucking turn?
