think
(11,641 posts)different as this video isn't discussing press coverage at all.
It's discussing very specific collusion with Google and their part in supporting the over throw of Syria's government.

Hopefully people will see the intent is to intimidate and have people question the facts so that they don't respond when attacked.
People need to stand up to that kind of crap....

How sad that they meet outside DU to conspire. I guess they think it's for the better good.

Every now-and-them someone really puts effort in their affront by attempting to combine: "LOL" and for "impact."

(9,274 posts)Google was not tracking people. Defections are people like corporations are people.
Tracking public data on defections in Syrian government has nothing to do with tracking defectors. This is in no way tracking people. This is noting their decisions and having Al Jazeera broadcast them into Syria, not spying on them.
Now, if you want to argue that Bernie is in collusion with the media because he is using it to let people know he wants to defeat Hillary... then we can talk.

(9,274 posts)It would be kind of stupid to track all the people in Syria hoping one of them might eventually defect, no? And once the fact of their defection is established, where is the collusion in overthrowing the government?
Edited the header so it couldn't be interpreted as offensive or hurtful

(15,435 posts)So, apparently you DISAGREE with with what was done! Read or listen to the clip. Especially the part that says, "we are partnering" and maybe YOU can explain why THEY are partnering.
Seems like it's THEM who were using Al Jazeera!
beastie boy
(9,274 posts)and Al Jazeera's role is to broadcast, not smuggle, the information into Syria.
If Al Jazeera is tracking the information, and if they are not under any compulsion to do so, and if they are in control of the process, how are they being used, exactly?
And where is the collusion?
Bad Hillary!

(9,274 posts)Her record is out for all to see. You can find positive things in it and you can find negative ones. It is your decision which ones you want to dwell on at the expense of the others.
But it has nothing to do with the post you are replying to. I was specific in what cracks me up: both the extreme right and the extreme left manufacturing fake scandals about Hillary.
I will grant you this: there is plenty to criticize Hillary over. All the more reason to chuckle over the insecurity of those who are desperate to create fake Hillary scandals.

(9,274 posts)You are trying to change the subject, and I will simply not let you use the oldest trick in the book.
If you have anything to say in defense of your original post, go ahead. Otherwise, own up to spreading groundless accusations.
Asking me a question that is not relevant to your fake outrage over Hillary's email regarding what you call "collusion" ain't gonna do it. You can start a different thread if you want your answer so badly.
desmiller
(747 posts)manufacturing stuff to get to Hillary. Why so jumpy?!!! That question was nowhere near a trap. All you have to is say "Yes, because....." or "No, but....". That's all. You might be chuckling about fake scandal and conspiracies, but I'm chuckling even harder and louder by your response. I was going to give you my kudos for your honesty and sticking up to your guns, but instead, you have earned a special trip........ TO MY NAUGHTY LIST!!!!!!!
beastie boy
(9,274 posts)And Hillary's donor list has nothing to do with the email scandal du jour being peddled in your post.
Your responses are getting more childish by the minute. I will spare you further embarrassment and will end my participation in this thread.
Have fun.

(9,274 posts)Nor do I mean Sovereign Citizens or skinheads when I refer to the far right.
What I had in mind were the groups that are consequential within the prevailing political spectrum in the US.
Thanks for reminding me that the fringes extend further than what I intended to address. When I was referring to the steady stream of manufactured Hillary outrages, what I had in mind was Bernie supporters as the far left of the political spectrum and Cruz supporters as the far right. These are the margins of my definitions. Sorry I didn't make them clear earlier.
stupidicus
(2,570 posts)because you're apparently closer to the Cruz bunch than you realize, much less would admit even if you had that much self-awareness
beastie boy
(9,274 posts)Far right?
Then just change my definitions from "far left" and "far right" to "far right" and "batshit crazy right".
It doesn't change the substance of what I am saying, and I am not here to play semantics games. Nor will I entertain your misguided speculations as to where I fit in the spectrum.

(2,570 posts)I'd say, largely comprised of projections
Nobody on the left has to manufacture any outrage to be directed at HC, her public record provides almost all of the fodder used.
On the other hand, all those racism, sexism, etc, etc, etc, charges directed at Bernie -- straight outta the rightwing playbook
stupidicus
(2,570 posts)"misguided speculations" about where you reside upon the ideological spectrum when this whole dialogue is about you designating your betters on the left with intended unflattering labels
well done. I suppose all that is necessary if one needs to support dishonest/baseless charges like all that "manufactured" stuff BS supporters come up with, otherwise known as her record.
beastie boy
(9,274 posts)And please pay attention: it is not about me, or your laughable fantasies of being my better, it's about the far... pardon me, the FDR Democrats making shit up about Hillary - something that you are afraid to touch with a ten foot pole.
stupidicus
(2,570 posts)you're the one labeling Bernie supporters as something just shy of if they don't have their footies on the border of "far left" loonihood, as you endlessly spew baseless nonsense about "manufactured outrage" you have yet to develop or present a case for.
As is the case in the case at bar here -- the TP material -- nobody has made up anything about your precious HC, it's merely the difference between some anti-war person like me not liking her warmongering, etc, ways, and you apparently approving of it and more.
beastie boy
(9,274 posts)A "collusion" between Hillary and the media to overthrow governments???
This is one steamy stinking pile of horseshit! Especially pungent if you consider what it is based on. And you are telling me nobody made it up? It just appeared all by itself?
And you are getting personal again. What a surprise!
I am beginning to think I am having a conversation with a juvenile. I am not particularly fond of that prospect.
Good bye.
stupidicus
(2,570 posts)and you've made it rather blatantly obvious that you can't undermine the material in any meaningful way other than by way of hollow declaration
I'm 60 years old, and I'm under the impression that you have little but deflections, projections, etc, in your little quiver, just like your rightwing cousins...

(14,177 posts)It is a story of great magnitude. But, it is a story of tragic proportions as well. I am glad to see these issues are finally getting attention though. I have said from the get go that it's the contents of the emails that should be cause for alarm. That she colluded to bring down governments without really thinking through what the implications and consequences are should disqualify her from the Democratic nomination process.
