This tone thing really bothers me, particularly because no one in living memory has run such a focused and positive campaign as Mr Sanders has done.

Just because his natural voice and manner of speaking is kind of loud, he is labelled sexist. Just because he prefers the term African American instead of black, he is labelled racist. Just because he talks about facts which don't reflect well on Mrs Clinton, he is accused of a negative campaign. All this might have worked in January but people are seeing through it now and getting really tired of the scaremongering, particularly because the Republicans are reminding Democrats what a real negative campaign looks like: sex scandals, name calling, family bashing and the kitchen sink all thrown in. The Democrats have run a very civilised campaign up to now. That will ironically change if Mrs Clinton keeps accusing Mr Sanders of using a tone he is obviously not using.
