The dysfunctional health care system in America also serves to illustrate the disturbing nature of our political process. All of these other modern nations already operate under efficient national systems. Yet American citizens must suffer all because of the influence of money in our political process.

It isn't very hard to see where our added costs come from. Most of the inefficiency is due to the profit taking elements in the insurance industry, the pharmaceutical industry and the health care services industry.

As soon as a political candidate says, "It would cost too much." or, "It is unrealistic." you know they are being influenced by corporate money. This is a direct quid pro quo. Sorry, there simply isn't any other rational way to see this issue.
