they had 3-4 recesses a day. Let me tell you, the kids were active and happy.

Not only that, but it was state mandated that Kindergarten classes had one teacher to 16 kids, first grate 1 to 17, 2nd grade 1 to 18. The teachers had the ability to teach and attend to each kid.
