(376 posts)But he is a sore loser. Hilary has 3 million more votes than he does. Even if he manage to get mostly all of the super delegates, he still won't have enough votes to become the nominee. I don't understand his tactics here. He and his followers say that this primary is corrupted. Well check out Nate Silver's website. http://fivethirtyeight.com/features/clinton-is-winning-the-states-that-look-like-the-democratic-party
Bernie promises a lot of things like free tuition, but a lot of what he promises need the act of Congress and if the Rethugs continue to hold the house, can you see Paul Ryan bring to the house floor for a vote for free tuition?

(133 posts)You're not a Sanders supporter at all, not with your talking points.
You want to do some more math? A woman has over 60,000 emails on her server, over 30,000 of them are "personal" (they still belong to The People), over 2000 of them are classified, and 22 of them are top secret.
Do THAT math.
Oh, and by the way, the primaries ARE NOT OVER. There is no winner or loser, not unless you and your Hillary cronies changed the rules on us.
I predicted months ago that Hillary was going down in flames. She will. The American people are not going to support a person who thumbed her nose at national security, who lied about "convenience", who broke all the rules linked directly to laws, who is corrupt, a liar, and who uses her foundation for political gain.
Sore loser, my ass.

(376 posts)But it's people like you that sound more like a Trump supporter is causing me to regret my vote for him. Bernie is always saying to have Hilary release her speech to Wall street. Well where are all of Sander's tax returns? What is he hiding?

(20,453 posts)Don't believe me... Do your own research using the present day algorithm so revered by the DNC and who counts the votes...
It's a shitty system, and the votes haven't been counted fairly due to these algorithms that require a certain percentage of the vote be tallied or lost. Where do these votes go? Depends on how much has been tallied for the other candidate(s). Tell me what you think after seeing an interview at Redacted Tonight with Lee Camp. It's on the YouTube channel and was posted here earlier. Rocky De La Fuente, the "other" Democrat who's been in the running explains a little more about those votes.

(819 posts)Don't even go there. We know damn well that Hillary has been given every advantage. The media doesn't show the enormous crowds in contrast to HRC's crowds. We know there were flips in voter registration. We know machines can get hijacked.
Wall St. and corrupt establishment is just peachy with either HRC or tRump. That alone should be a concern to anyone.

(1,968 posts)A system that been there for decades and that President Obama was able to overcome.
Stop whining... It's unbecoming.
There are rules to the game; learn how to play.

(819 posts)No threats to business as usual.
Speaking up and standing up to wrongs and a flawed system isn't whining. People are tired of being played. Governance and Democracy isn't a game.

(1,968 posts)but people are did because they whining't get what they want.
Bernie knew what the system was before he wanted to use that system to get elected, and now people want to change things in the 9th hour because they don't like the way things are.
The system wasn't put into place yesterday.

(39,215 posts)going to be close and there is no reason for anyone to set back and surrender. We supporters believe that Hillary is too weak and too embroiled in her troubles to win the GE. And we also do not want to end up with a GE team that includes only her pick as VP in the GE when she has to drop out.
We have fought hard and kept our nose clean - we do not have all that baggage. We have stayed away from Big Money and obligations to any donors other than we the people. We have as much right to continue our fight as she does.
We are hoping the SDs will really take a look at both candidates and see what is better for our nation and the world.
Thank you.

(376 posts)He still won't have enough pledged delegates to win the nomination. I just don't get it. If you are going to crown a nominee that has the least amount of pledged delegates, then why have a primary to begin with? What is the point of voting?
jwirr
(39,215 posts)and some of them are very big ones. The number of delegates will be different after that. And there are plenty of SDs who could go either way as they did for President Obama. It used to be that highest delegate count mattered but that is no longer true with the addition of SDs. In a close contest where no one has the needed number of elected delegates the SDs can chose which ever candidate they think has the best chance of winning the GE.
I do not like the SDs but until we can get them out of our system we will have to work with them.
I would like to ask you something? Hillary started out trying to convince the voters that she was inevitable and she is demanding that we and our candidate drop out now. How is a coronation better than a contested convention?
jmowreader
(50,554 posts)Bernie will probably win the Dakotas, because the Dakotas are homogeneously Caucasian - the only contests he really does well in. If history is a guide, he will not win PR, CA, NM, NJ or DC.
gholtron
(376 posts)But if he does not have enough of the pledge delegates, then why is he going to cause problems at the convention? That is what I don't get
jwirr
(39,215 posts)neither of them will have.
From my standpoint I do not understand why everyone is so upset about a contested convention. In the past the only uncontested conventions have been those where a setting president was running for his second term.
It just means that the delegates at a convention will be voting for the candidate. And it may mean that there will be more than one vote. The SDs vote only after the states.
Bernie's numbers have continually rose. Hillary's has continually fallen. Bernie is trusted more. Hillary and Donald set historical records for being distrusted.
Imagine if Bernie got equal airtime as Hillary. There would be no contest.

Sanders just got hit with docs that prove he used campaign cash for a family vacation for 10 people. Ask Virginia's prior governor, Bob McDonald, how that story ends.

(5,621 posts)Bernie, who hardly any one knew, has blown up to be a very serious contender in a year. Look at that compared to Hillary, who people have known for 25 years and had to scramble to California, because of her fear of losing.
Those who say it's over are trying to convince someone, anyone that this is not happening to their candidate. The fact is, the nominee is not decided until July at the convention. Lots of things can happen between now and then.
Oh, and comparing this race to 2008 is just silly. Obama gave a speech at the Democratic Convention, so he was not unknown when he started running. He also had a HUGE war chest and top advisors, who campaign won an advertising award.
I can't believe how some people ignore the facts.
