No, no, it is he dedication to public service and devotion to America that makes him realize his work there is undone.

I'm surprised, you'd think he could get a nice job as a lobbyist. Maybe they weren't offering enough.

Rubio is so ineffectual that the lobbying groups paying big bucks wouldn't be interested in him. $174K is better than $0K. When you look at the government officials who have made the lobbying leap, they are usually people with connections. Who the hell would "take a meeting" with Marco?

Slate? rollingStone? The Atlantic?
type of reporting.

Rubio got where he did by getting favors from entrenched politicians, an ability to make his bulshit sound senere, and over weening ambition.
But here's the fun part:
He owed a lot of favors by the time he hit the Senate, and he showed no interest in paying them back.

The adage "Be nice to the people you meet on the way up, cause you might meet them again on the way down" is SO appropriate for Rubio.

Plus, he has a LOT of campaign debt, so needs a job ASAP.
But the Fla. politicos are not happy with him.

He's already told the world he hates working in the Senate.

He still wants the presidency.

collect a nice salary, benefits and pension. I just hope the Florida voters get what he is all about. And now he will continue his fight against gay groups, support the NRA and get funding from them. And of course vote NAY on any bill that mentions guns or purchase of guns.

OK, the connotation from the advice that "Deep Throat" gave to the WaPo journalists investigating the Watergate break-in is not quite the same here and now, but the advice is still valid.

Who, exactly, is willing to fund the water boy's re-election? And that includes whatever PACs took a shine to him. I'm not so stupid to believe that whatever funds were left over from his FAILED presidential campaign were returned to the donors, nor did they go to line his pockets (on top of his salary and perks he's drawing from the federal government that he claims to despise so much).

He sees new dollars out there, and he's chasing them.

Eventually, he wants to build a war chest for a 2020 and the more he can amass now will come in very handy just a few years after Drumpf is handed his muskrat-covered head this November.
