This is deadly earnest” began Biden, before becoming extremely emotional and yelling into the mic, telling the story of his late son Beau’s tour in Iraq before launching into a heartwrenching anecdote of a young army captain who risked his life to pull an injured comrade from a burning Humvee after they’d been hit with an improvised explosive device.

“When I went to pin it on him in front of the entire brigade he stood and looked at me and said, ‘Sir I don’t want the medal. I don’t want the medal.’ You know why? He said he died. ‘He died Mr. Vice President. I don’t want the medal. How many nights does that kid go to sleep seeing that image in his head, dealing with it?” roared Biden, overwhelmed with fury at the notion that the draft-dodging Donald Trump would have the nerve to insult our veterans so crudely.

“What are the chances Trump honors commitment to those who are wounded? It’s not just that he doesn’t get it. He doesn’t want to find out.”
