(659 posts)Unfortunately both of the candidates are very "meh" towards BLM though. But eh, what else can you expect within national politics in America?

(2,322 posts)...the Central Park Five, even after DNA absolved them, the real criminal confessed, and the police admitted to railroading them. He STILL thinks they are guilty and should be executed. I hardly think that qualifies as "meh" on BLM. That's a resounding "Black lives do NOT matter," from Trump and, further, "By all means, shoot them."
Please don't play these "the two are equally bad" games. Hillary is not encouraging the murder of minorities. Trump has, is and will encourage it. He wants them beaten, tortured, thrown in camps and executed. Yes, we'd all prefer to hear a resounding "BLM!" From Hillary. And back when Obama was elected, the gay community wished he'd have said "I"n all for Gay marriage!" He didn't...but then, once in office, got strongly behind it.
"Meh" in the election might be disappointing. But it's what happens once the person is in office that really matters. Hillary's "meh" can transform into a very strong "BLM!" Trump's "Execute them..." won't. That makes them very different.

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. Hillary Clinton will meet with Black Lives Matter activists in Cleveland on Friday, according to a campaign aide.
The gathering is the second time that Clinton will meet with Brittany Packnett, who is one of the founders of Campaign Zero, which was spawned by protests in Ferguson, Mo. And it is also her second meeting with Black Lives Matter activist DeRay Mckesson, who is also a co-founder of Campaign Zero.
Clinton has spoken out about criminal justice issues and has called for reforms, including national guidelines for the use of force by police.
