I know locally a store let a shoplifter go after holding him for four hours when their repeated calls to the cops got no cop to show up.

She is braying like a jackass at store employees. I like the backdrop of holiday cards on the rack behind her. Ya gotcher rageaholic racist ranter and ya gotcher rack full of cards to convey the joys of the season.

The woman's rant lasted 45 minutes:

"... Racist entitled white woman attacks African American & Hispanic employees in Chicago store. Shouting she voted for Trump, African Americans discriminated against, her, reverse racism, calling them animals, etc., because in her words – they asked her to buy a large shopping bag.

This is only 10 minutes of the almost 45 minute ordeal this woman put the employees of this store through.
Several customers tried to intervene and waited until the police arrived (45 minutes later) so we could speak up for the employees of this store."

What an interesting concept.

And store workers usually aren't encouraged to call store security to deal with an asshole customer. Store security mainly cares about stopping shoplifters. At least that was my experience when I worked retail. You're on your own to deal with abusive shoppers.
