My 87 year old father (he was a Bernie supporter, then became a Hillary supporter) said that he felt like "they're a bunch of kindergarteners". I wish that were the case. At least kindergarteners are willing to listen and learn. Trump has no clue what he's doing and has absolutely no interest in learning. It's all about Trumplandia...

change their vote. These are diehard Republicans 99.9% of them would vote for Lucifer if he was their candidate.
Recounts are a waste of time and money. We lost because not enough Democrats voted or didn't vote for Hillary period.
There should have been this much concern before the election, many of us outside the solid blue states could see it coming
and were called concern trolls.

If the House has to choose between Clinton and Trump they will choose Trump. But if the choice is between Clinton, Trump, and Romney then I think they will choose Romney. That way the GOP takes the White House and doesn’t have to tolerate Trump.

The only sane alternative is to vote for the popular vote winner, Hillary Clinton.

If that means some Trump supporters get all pissy and take to the streets, so be it.

Absent being struck down by the Hand of God Himself, one Donald J. Trump will be sworn into the Office of the Presidency precisely at noon on Friday, January 20th, 2017. And he will enter the White House with his party controlling the Senate, the House and a vacant Supreme Court seat.

There will be no "magical do-over" button in the form of recounts of faithless electors.

This is the reality that Democrats need to deal with.

Should they allow the tangerine terror in, he will surely be impeached and then the real plan for Muck Pance will go into action. That's what the axis of evil behind the curtains wants--dumb, obedient, sadistic zealot of the Vengeful Cloud Chief.

And I don't think their choice is limited to the two candidates that ran. Wouldn't surprise me if a bunch of EC voters wrote in other names, rather than vote for Trump, in the hopes that Congress will then end up picking Ryan, or somebody like him.

The House of Representatives chooses the President from among the three candidates who received the most EC votes. Each State delegation would get one vote. The Senate would then pick the VP from among the candidates that ran.

So...their choice IS limited to the candidates that ran.

So theoretically, if 37 Trump Electors voted for Romney, then the house could choose from Clinton, Trump or Romney, even though Romney was not a candidate.

from the 12th Amendment:

The person having the greatest Number of votes for President, shall be the President, if such number be a majority of the whole number of Electors appointed; and if no person have such majority, then from the persons having the highest numbers not exceeding three on the list of those voted for as President (Note: I take this to mean voted on by electors, not the public) , the House of Representatives shall choose immediately, by ballot, the President. But in choosing the President, the votes shall be taken by states, the representation from each state having one vote; a quorum for this purpose shall consist of a member or members from two-thirds of the states, and a majority of all the states shall be necessary to a choice. And if the House of Representatives shall not choose a President whenever the right of choice shall devolve upon them, before the fourth day of March next following, then the Vice-President shall act as President, as in the case of the death or other constitutional disability of the President.[Note 1]

Interestingly, if the house is unable to reach a decision by March 4, then Joe Biden would become acting President, conceivably with Pence as VP.

From Section 3 of the 20th Amendment:

If a President shall not have been chosen before the time fixed for the beginning of his term, or if the President elect shall have failed to qualify, then the Vice President elect shall act as President until a President shall have qualified; and the Congress may by law provide for the case wherein neither a President elect nor a Vice President elect shall have qualified, declaring who shall then act as President, or the manner in which one who is to act shall be selected, and such person shall act accordingly until a President or Vice President shall have qualified.
