Does anybody remember life before the EPA. I remember when a 11 year old kid waded into a creek to retrieve a baseball and the creek was covered in toxic sludge. This was considered normal. When the Cleveland River was on fire. When the Mississippi corridor from New Orleans to Baton Rouge was considered Cancer Alley and a Chemical company's dream. All the power plants were coal fired with no restrictions, and a daily haze hung over my small town. The EPA has done a tremendous amount of good and this shit is scary.
Every day I pick up the newspaper the story gets worse with each new appointment.
