Theres lots of journalists I respect on RT. I do have my radar up for Ruskie propaganda because I strive to have decent critical thinking skills.

Not to mention there is no longer such a thing as a credible source of journalism. It's 90% AGENDA DRIVEN CORPORATE PROPAGANDA now.

Please share the news sources you find with the most journalistic integrity and truthfulness factuality.

Thom Hartmann is on RT and he's got honor and integrity and practices good journalism.

I have heard more truth on RT than M$M. Prove to me otherwise.

(I do understand having caution with a russian media source. But...)

How can you place any legitimacy to his English-language propaganda arm?

. . . that both John Pilger, a renowned and highly respected journalist, and Thom Hartmann, a member of this site, are spreading Russian propaganda here? Really?

Just because you make legitimate criticisms of your own government's actions gives you carte blanche to take money from an oppressive regime actively seeking to undermine American democracy.

If Hartmann chooses to continue to work for RT, given what we have seen during the election, why should he be above criticism? Are we supposed simply to smile politely and say. "well, everybody needs to make a buck?" I really don't understand your deference.

. . . It's a matter of not reflexively dismissing something merely because it happens to appear on RT. If Hartmann's program is about peddling Russian propaganda, then this piece would apoear to be a career-ender for him, since it directly takes on Trump's own anti-China rhetoric. Wwhat's more, Hartmann has been solidly pro-clinton since she secured the nomination -- which again places him at odds with the aims of the Russian government in intervening on behalf of Trump.

Andd in any case, the statement about the freedom of media in the West was Pilger's, not Hartmann's.

. . . a propaganda arm for Putin's government than the corporate media in the U.S. is a propaganda arm for corporate interests. ALL should be approached with caution and a healthy skepticism. That doesn't mean one needs to reflexively dismiss everything said by either of them.

What will the consequences be for all of us because of this? RT is one tool he uses to normalize his message. You seem to argue that everybody is rotten so it doesn't matter anyway.

That would ruin his brand. But taking money from Putin does, in fact, further Putin's insidious agenda and that of his useful idiot, Trump. I hope Hartmann restores his integrity by resigning in protest from RT.

How is that going to work? I thought the WH job included being the commander-in-chief?

What a disaster! I grieve for America & the world. We are on the ledge of the exact opposite of what America is about.

At the time India was the wealthiest country in the world after centuries of trade.

India was looted to transfer wealth back to England which made India one of the poorest.

This has been the pattern for centuries.
