The dog is into it just as seriously.

(218 posts)The dog with the big ears is a Cardigan corgi. I know. I have one. (Although I wonder why this one has a docked tail)
It could be related to my dog.
When my grandson was six weeks old and I'd been laying on the bed watching him sleep, I had to use the bathroom. My corgi was on the bed and I told her to stand guard while I hurried.
When I came back she'd moved next to the baby and had her head gently across his belly. The look she gave me! It was--"Didn't you know there might be wolves?"
Tears streaked my cheeks. This is a dog who would give her life for her family.
I'll bet this dog sleeps on or by the bed of this little boy. This boy is loved by that dog.
These are remarkable dogs with an intelligence that astonishes.
But they have to have something to do or they go crazy with boredom.
