Rachel Maddow refuses to let Kellyanne Conway dance around Trumps terrible treatment of the press

Pointing out that Trump encouraged his rally crowd to target NBC reporter Martha Raddatz over false claims that she cried the night he was elected, Conway tried to insist that everyone on Trump’s team has “enormous respect” for Raddatz, whom they all agree is a “tour de force.”

Maddow reminded Conway that “telling a story about her that is not true” to crowds of thousands throughout the United States is hardly indicative of “enormous respect” and asked if Raddatz could expect an apology sometime soon. Conway insisted those types of conversations don’t happen in public.

“The accusation was made publicly,” Maddow pressed.

Conway quickly changed the topic, instead discussing Trump’s “relationship with the press” and the “negative press coverage” she says marred his campaign.

I posted this as a courtesy to the people who were hearing about it on DU last night and don't have cable (or anyone who wanted to watch it again).

I personally can't stomach her. I'm particularly unimpressed by her recent statements about knowing what it would be like, working as a woman in Trump's White House, and how she wasn't going to accept a position...then she accepted a position.

Already said this, but have to say it again. Love Rachel, but she blew it during one part of the interview. Rachel had just finished saying that Trump lied about Martha Raddatz. Then the discussion goes to Kelly Anne saying that if people would just not lie, then Melania wouldn't have to sue them. That's when Rachel should have said, "Well, Kelly Anne, by that logic, should Martha sue tRUMP?" Or, Rachel could have said, "Wow, Kelly Anne it's really surprising to hear you saying that you wish people would just stop lying all the time, when it's your boss that does it the most!"

And I was angry that his apology to Martha Raddatz was private....it needs to be public and played over and over on Fox.

This reminds me of the first time I saw Ann Coulter on I think maybe Geraldo Rivera not sure.... But Coulter was on a panel of people. Coulter pushed lever on her chair until it was above the desk so you all most see up her skirt like in "Basic Instinct" style.
