Effecting change without the use of force.

Question: How do people actually change if not by being overcome by force? Why do people make the choices that they do? Why do people believe the things that they believe?
Answer: It is because they are immersed in a story that is invisible to them. That story is not just an intellectual construct; but is attracted to a state of being. [Example, Fox News]

Question: Can we be “activists” without being against something and reinforcing the separation?
Answer: Act on the level of – story and being – to affect change without force. To give people experiences that don’t fit into their story and that transform the state of being that attracts that story to begin with. So here we are kind of seeing a union of the spiritual and political.

"When any of us meet someone who rejects dominant norms and values, we feel a little less crazy for doing the same. Any act of rebellion or non-participation, even on a very small scale, is therefore a political act."
