Lisa Murkowski, Senator from Alaska-So proud of my state's Senator!
Lisa Murkowski is one of two Republican U.S. Senators who will not vote for Betsy DeVos for Secretary of Education. That takes a lot of courage, especially since Alaska is, and has been for a while, a Red state. Education is a huge issue in Alaska, and she very clearly defends her position in a manner that I see as unassailable. Senator Susan Collins, Republican Senator from Maine, joins Murkowski in her vote of conscience, logic, and clarity.
Kudos to these two brave women!
