I'm not in favor of shutting off conversations with opposing viewpoints. BUT that stops when they insist on using propaganda techniques (labeling news fake merely because you disagree with it, and intentionally lying).

More media needs to follow his lead. Explain what fake news is. Lay down the expectation that calling honest journalism fake news will not be tolerated, giving them a chance to honestly put their side forward, but shutting it down at the very next violation. No third chance.

The same should go for demonstrably false statements. You get one chance - you are called on it, and then the very next falsehood that is uttered -you are shut down.
