I watched a bunch of the UK parliament debate today - a result of 2 million petitioning the government - many who were protesting outside while the debate went on. At the end, they voted verbally to deny Trump an official state visit. But the government said, screw that, state visit is on - F U.
Get used to it. Without the power, that's what the next four years are probably going to be like - even if we see the bastard impeached.
I'm undaunted. I'm still going to speak out. Cheer on the protests. Expose the lies. etc. But I know the odds are very poor of achieving anything.
Been a tough year. Bernie lost. Hillary lost. Now this for the next four years. Sucked the juices out of me. But I have to try to fight it even if our chances are tiny. It's what I've done my whole life - not just when times were good.
