(9,067 posts)I'm in good health, go to yoga, etc....but I've found both seeing and stepping on stairs is more difficult than when I was 30.
Simply put, he may not be afraid, but is just in a habit of going slow and holding on due to normal aging.
No matter what his stair navigation strategy, he's still an ass, a crook, and a womanizer. That has nothing to do with being 70.

(73 posts)Nothing to be ashamed of, Donnie. I and many of the other teenaged boys experienced it in our high school locker room after football games, thanks to Harlan Murphy. (He was given the nickname "Waterslide" by the girls.)

(16,296 posts)Guy should be wearing glasses, evident in his reading problems. But, will he - never. Too much of an ego problem to be seen as needing them. The guy is trying to stave off aging and any appearance of aging any way he can.

Going up's not too bad, but going down...

(15,408 posts)if they are very steep and have no rail (ruins in Europe etc) I grab my husband's shoulder and have him walk in front of me.
