Excellent discussion between Schiff and Bill Mahar on Trump/Russia.
"Rs all want something from this president before the wheels come completely off. "
Rep. Adam Schiff (Calif.), the top Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, offered high praise for Sen. John McCain on Friday, saying the Arizona Republican's vocal criticism of President Trump marks his "finest hour."
"I think frankly this is John McCain's finest hour," Schiff said on HBO's "Real Time with Bill Maher."
"Probably his most important public service since Vietnam is what he is doing now. I wish we had more Republicans in the House, or maybe even one in the House, who is willing to follow his example."

(12,448 posts)I partly disagree with him about McCain, but otherwise that interview was great. So he's not 100% pure; we should be done with purity and Schiff is a real patriot.

(1,325 posts)Any time you find yourself in agreement with Magoo - it's time to check things out. McCain's only solution to any problem is bombs away. Preferably on some dirty Russkies!!!
As for a Beacon of Hope? How's that working in Iraq, Afghanistan, Yemen, Syria, Libya, and Iran right now? It's all fine and dandy to tell ourselves that we're the good guys wearing white hats, but in reality we are quite the opposite.
While I generally like Schiff, this was a puff interview full of hollow red white and blue platitudes. And No folks, I'm not a Putin supporter. I just smell something rotten when the Dems are in accord with the likes of Graham and McCain.

(7,952 posts)Right to the heart. I just don't feel the anger and passion from Schiff that is required to get true facts and justice. I have mixed feelings about this interview-all coming from the person we are desperately counting on to do the righteous thing.
