(41 posts)Joy Reid is just amazing. She is clear, respectful, but does not allow panel members to run on talking points forever!

why did he still hired him?
Why is he protecting him?
Why did he wait 18 days after DOJ incomes him his NSA had a Russia problem?

(624 posts)And an ego as big. His problem may actually be worse because he is more versed in all things biblical. As such, he carries a very real air of self-righteousness that all good Dominionists do. I only hope he is charged with crimes, too. Nothing would please me more as a second of many dozens. Smug, self-righteous prick, who uses the tools of government in ways that do not comport with publicly professed beliefs. A con man of Trumps very ilk. Just talking about him makes me want to bathe.

(51,583 posts)If the Donald does leave (impeach or resign) Pence is guilty too, so will he become the new POTUS? But knowing that Ryan and McConnell are guilty of collusion, who will become the president when this finally ends (hopefully soon)?

(4,347 posts)I've heard rumblings that with Pence and Ryan possibly implicated in this mess, that Orin Hatch, who is fourth in the line of succession, is allegedly receiving presidential level intelligence briefings.

(58,785 posts)The "oh, now really!" story that Hatch is receiving presidential-level briefings should in itself be a giant red flag.
Think about it. This is a republic and our government is run by rule of law and established procedures. Whoever gave him those illegal briefings would likely end up in prison for a long list of official crimes, including possibly sedition against the state (a threat to the president's authority).
But no one is.
As for the first domino in this chain, Rump's popularity among his supporters is extremely high, and most experts feel we're still way out from removal.
THEN, from there it's a yoooge wishful jump to removing both Pence and Ryan.
I'm wishful too, but not about to leap out an intellectual window to try to take a ride on it.
Recommend patience. Removing a president is and should not be easy, and this case will have to be built piece by piece over time, following clever strategies to make most of them.

(3,847 posts)for the Dumpster. Pence and Flynn were big players in the transition, they know a hell of a lot more than they claim.
Jot doesn't just say something to hear herself speak, like Tweety, who can't ever shut up. If we are so dedicated to our laws and procedures this would have started at 10 am after the traitor's inauguration. The Repukes have been stalling and obstructing since day one and before during the election.
His supporters, the 15% of the public, are beginning to figure out they are about to have everything ripped out from under them.
Clinton got impeached for a BJ, that's it. The Independent Council went far out of the parameters to find out about his affair. The Council was about White Water and Hillary. He lied about extramarital affairs, what man just tells the truth about it, especially when he's president.
A bj versus Treason ... multiple counts of laws and statutes being broken, he needs to be Impeached, convicted and sent to jail. This one is a no brainer.
