Often they are simply economically illiterate (vis Ryan, Perry) In the last six months have made clear their corruption, cruelty and consummate greed in caps; Trump's just their mascot along for his own gravy.
I just love Klein's strategy of jamming Trump's brand to deflate his fortune and his name.. Trump's keeping all his stuff with the "blind trust" 'masquerade is a dangerous game to be playing with the public.. He planned to make money hand over fist, but, as she's pointed out, his refusal to divest makes his fortune and brand actually vulnerable to political retaliation instead of just enabling enrichment through bribery. It's a double edge sword and Trump,incapable of dual thinking, never saw that consequence..
If the jam trump's brand really got organized, the Repugs in Congress couldn't protect him from the financial and reputational damage it would cost Trump. Klein's program sure makes me smile.
