This is why we need to get the money out of politics. Politicians representing Donors instead of their Constituents.

As someone with chronic health issues I have dealt with insurance companies telling me and my doctors that I cannot have this particular medicine or see this doctor... It is wrong! Don't wait until it happens to you or someone you love. Single Payer is cheaper and better than what we have now. Negotiating bulk drug prices would have us paying what the rest of the world pays for prescriptions instead of having people rationing their medications or not being able to have them at all!

The only way the Donald and Congress will feel any serious pressure from US citizens is when if effects each GOP voter directly and personally. The economy has to be destroyed and people with aging or sick family will have to endure severe hardships and loss for them to begin to lose faith in the GOP that promised them everything under the sun. Only then will most Repubs voters finally get fed up and do something constructive. Of course by then it'll be too late for most of us.

The stories I have regarding money, health insur, and pre-existing conditions would make the average person cringe. I wish I didn't have to suffer as a result of their BS twisted support for their GOP monsters.

The huge marches, millions of calls and letters and Town Halls seem to have some effect if we can keep it up. It seems that we are already losing steam since there has not been a massive march for this most recent heartless bill. My elderly mother and I are ready to go and participate and we have become more active locally. She is so scared it breaks my heart! I have two sisters on Medicaid who are completely disabled and she has several health issues associated with being 80.

Before the ACA I spent $30,000 for two years insurance since I was sick and couldn't work nor could I get any insur anywhere except from my former employer (the school district). When I had to permanently leave teaching I didn't have enough years so the insur they offered was expensive so I opted out for the new ACA with subsidies. If they take the ACA away I can't even get back into the district's program. Since then I have been diagnosed with another illness and I will die from it eventually but first I will suffer years of excruciating pain and I will need a series of expensive surgeries will be required to help reduce it since pain meds aren't strong enough. I will lose my 500 sq. foot home in 1 1/2 years.

While I am still able I am resisting like mad. My first march was in Nov and I have been to 8 so far. I am recycling my signs with some changes. I live in a blue city and state but I have called all 100 senators over 3 times each and over 100 congressmen. I write letters, attend meetings and a town halls, sign petitions, donate small amounts, etc. If you use Zillow for addresses from all the states you can call all of them and have a valid address so they will take your call seriously. I wrote to Gloria Steinem regarding the next women's march and am and making pins, earrings, and bumper stickers by hand to give away.

The GOP and his base are so strong and they have all the power and will run with it while they can. hopefully some of our actions will slow down the ACA repeal but I don't trust any of them at all to not screw it up. We are the real American patriots and they know they are corrupt, greedy sociopaths whose hypocrisy knows no bounds.

Keep resisting!!! (any way you can)
