Yes voter suppression, yes propaganda that bludgeoned their candidate,
yes money, yes polls so positive HRC would win that everyone said 'ah,
my vote's not needed'

But also, rural, often blue-collar citizens who rarely vote were motivated
by something

yes reality TV star, yes outreach and walking around money, yes preachers

but also some type of buzz that made them go to the polls

I saw a few ... they never voted before, they had to ask questions about
how to vote, how the machines were used, they whispered amongst themselves

Republicans used every lever to motiviate these people to vote for them, all of the
above plus family ties, low-life local community relationships - contractors, business
professionals, school board participants. It was a numbers game.
