5. I've never seen Jane Powell play anything like that. She was hilarious.

If my memory is correct, which is always iffy at this point, Jane Powell was stuck in "girl next door" parts as a blonde. I've never seen her as a brunette, much less as a brunette who's a low class dame/ She must have loved this part.
