Followed by a one-minute recognition of Collins and Murkowski combined. The senior Senator from Arizona, who COULD have ended the madness on Tuesday, gets to ride in on his White House and save the country three days later!

Male privilege is a topic that my wife and I have discussed many times. My initial position was that, sure, men have advantages that women don't, but "Male Privilege"? What does that even mean?

My argument grows weaker by the day.

By voting to let the bill advance on Tuesday he set it up to fail on the 51-49 vote. People here didn't (and apparently still don't) understand how the process works.
There were people wishing him a slow and and painful death, and wanting to "piss on his leg" when he voted for the first bill.
Give him some credit due- he voted exactly as he pledged to do in his speech and buried the bill.

It's just the way life is. Unexpected things draw much more attention than expected things. Murkowski and Collins were expected to vote No.
