1. I was going to ask why the DHS and all these 'private contractors' only track left wing writers

and protest movements like OWS, but don't seem to be tracking Glenn Beck or Rush Limbaugh. Apparently according to this video, Michael Hastings DID raise that question eg, why the DHS is tracking OWS but not the Tea Party, and I didn't see any answer. But it apparently was of interest to the DHS that he made that charge.

So they follow Cenk and Greenwald and OWS and the WH advises them not to contact Hastings unless the 'rest of the Media picks up his charges'??? Presumably if the MSM doesn't 'pick it up' there's nothing to worry about? I don't get that thinking at all.

Shouldn't the WH be on the side of the 'left' rather than the Tea Party? Shouldn't they be asking that question themselves? Actually the real question is 'why are they tracking any journalists? Also why do they think that Hastings' questions regarding who they are tracking ('the Left rather than the Right) would be a problem if the MSM were to report on his questions?

I guess they have nothing to worry about re the MSM who are careful only to report on what is permissible. But then the question is, why would it NOT be permissible to ask why the DHS tracks the 'left' but not 'the right'?

There is something very disturbing about this. Looks to me like the 'left' is okay to target from the POV of the WH!
