All the musical heroes of my youth are leaving me behind.

(71 posts)4. The lyrics to "I'd Love to Change the World"
include these:
"Everywhere is
freaks and Hairies,
dykes and fairies,
Tell me where is sanity?"
I'm a big AL & TYA fan, but that one always struck me as somewhat homophobic. Sounds like AL had a big problem with "dykes and fairies" back in the day.

Considering Alvin Lee was at least one of the freaks and hairies, hes including himself with the rest.
Amazing how relevant our music is still.

I don't even have words for it.
I can't even tell you what a powerful effect that had on me. I am going to have nightmares about it. It literally made me sick to my stomach. I was just shredded by it.
